Setout survey is a method used to build set out structures such as roads, railways, tunnels, bridges, buildings, etc. It is a process that involves planning, designing, building, testing, and finally maintaining. The main goal of this survey is to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality during the entire project life cycle. 

The first step in set out construction survey is to plan the route and determine the number of lanes, widths, elevations, and types of materials needed. This includes determining the type of terrain, whether there will be any grade changes, how many curves, turns, and intersections there will be, what kind of traffic lights there will be, and where they will be located.
